Residential Whole House Audio

whole house audioWhole house audio systems are not as simple as placing speakers with some way to control them in a room. We do not have the luxury of assuming that our clients are the same. Each of our clients differs in their design preferences, music preferences and technical savvy. Each of the whole house audio systems we design addresses each of the following questions: What do you want the space to look like? What kind of listener are you? And how easy do you want the controls to be?

AestheticsWhat do you want the space to look like?
One of the first things to consider when designing a whole house audio system is aesthetics. Knowing what your space will ultimately look like is very important. Different design considerations are given depending on the overall look you wish to achieve. A properly executed whole house audio system becomes a part of the design rather than merely considering it.

Quality of Sound—What kind of listener are you?
The speakers and components we install in your system will greatly depend on the use for that space. If you have a room that will double as a media room, we will use a higher quality speaker than we would for a hallway. A home theater will require its own amplifier rather than sharing one with the rest of the home. Several factors affect quality of sound including design of the room and quality of components.

Ease of Use—How easy do you want your controls to be?
A number of interfaces exist to select and control your music content. Each differs in the ease of use and feedback provided. The most common interfaces are volume knobs, keypads, hand held remotes, wall mounted LCD controls, and the HomeSuite group of products: DES TV, Local and Global Touch Panel and Mobile.
